<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter substrate and a transmission type liquid crystal display panel that improve the picture quality of a projection type display device by suppressing luminance unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission type liquid crystal display panel 1 is equipped with a TFT substrate 3 where a plurality of pixels are arranged in a matrix and the counter substrate 2 which is disposed opposite to the TFT substrate 4 across liquid crystal 4 and has microlenses 9 formed on the counter substrate corresponding to the respective pixels, wherein the microlenses are gradually decreased in effective area from the peripheral part of the counter substrate to the center part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
