<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device capable of further enhancing protection action of lower limb. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant protection device has a fixed body 1 and a movable body 2 connected to a member receiving collision load and being deformed and relatively movable along a direction that the collision load is acted; a brake pedal 14 or the like provided on a dash board 9 side integrated with a sub-beam 10 more hardly deformed at initial stage of collision of the two parts; a seat 5 with a seat belt provided on a floor part 4 side integrated with a main beam 8 formerly receiving influence of the collision load at collision; a braking member 16 and a stopper 17 provided between two parts so as to apply force in a direction opposed to the action direction of the collision load to the dash board 9 side; and a load absorption body 11 between two parts so as to absorb inertia force at the dash board 9 side moved to a direction opposed to the action direction of the collision load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
