<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device for a vehicle capable of effectively using a cascade connection by surely reducing adverse effects due to a cascade connection such as a daisy chain connection. <P>SOLUTION: This occupant protection device for a vehicle comprises a lateral acceleration sensor 2 capable of detecting sideways acceleration used for judging side collision to the right and left sides; left side sensors 7, 8 capable of detecting sideways acceleration used for judging left collision; right side sensors 5, 6 capable of detecting sideways acceleration used for judging right collision; an ECU 1 judging side collision of a vehicle based on output signals of satellite sensors and controlling start of an occupant protection unit; and bus lines B1-B7 connecting the ECU 1 with a plurality of the satellite sensors via bus. Among three satellite sensors 2, 7, 8 connected with the bus lines B3-B5 in the same line, a lateral acceleration sensor 2 used for judging a plurality of collision phenomena is connected with the side near the ECU 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
