<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a light emitting diode, which avoids problems in the prior art light emitting diode, increases a step yield, simplifies manufacturing steps, increases a heat irradiation performance in the light emitting diode, and protects the light emitting diode from destruction caused by electrostatic discharge. <P>SOLUTION: A metallic permanent base is formed in a structure having a temporary base, an epitaxial layer, and a first electrode layer.
