摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting a phenotype by which the unelicited phenotype can precisely be predicted in a specimen cell or a specimen cell group; and to provide an automatic diagnostic device in which a series of methods are automated to easily confirm DNA mutation causing the phenotype. <P>SOLUTION: A mutated genome DNA extracted from a mutated cell or a mutated cell group, and a normal genome DNA extracted from a normal cell or a normal cell group are fluorescently labeled by different labeling materials, and competitively hybridized with a genome DNA microarray having a prove group covering a couple of the whole genome derived from the normal cell. A mutated gene type pattern by which at least one probe having the DNA sequence by which the number of the copies per cell is increased or decreased is related to the increasing or decreasing pattern of the number of the copies is obtained by calculating the ratio of the fluorescent intensities of the obtained fluorescent signals. The same operation is carried out by using a specimen cell or a cell group, and the obtained gene type pattern is compared with the mutated gene type pattern.
