<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate of a lithographic printing plate and a lithographic printing method which facilitate a plate check after exposure to infrared rays. <P>SOLUTION: The original plate of the lithographic printing plate has on a support an image recording layer which contains a photothermal conversion agent absorbing infrared light, a polymerizable compound, a polymerization initiator and a thermochromic compound. The lithographic printing method comprises a process of conducting image exposure of the original plate of the lithographic printing plate by using an infrared laser, a process of removing an unexposed part of the image recording layer and making the lithographic printing plate in the condition that the original plate is mounted on a cylinder of a printing machine, and a process of conducting printing in the condition that the lithographic printing plate being made is mounted on the cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
