PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the output torque of a brushless motor employed as a drive source of an apparatus. SOLUTION: In the brushless motor comprising a rotor having a magnet body 1 magnetized alternately with an N pole an and S pole in the rotational direction, and a core provided with a plurality of salient poles 5 wound with a coil and facing the magnet body 1 in the radial direction to constitute a magnetic circuit wherein a plurality of small teeth 6 are provided at pitches substantially equal to the width of two magnet poles at the part of the salient pole 5 facing the magnet body 1, and the rotor is rotary driven by conducting the coil depending on the rotor position, the open angle of the small teeth is set smaller at the forward end of the salient pole where flux density is higher than thoses at other parts.
