PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container capable of increasing the size of a lid and the storage volume of food as much as possible, attaining the rich volume feeling of the container and contents, obtaining excellent appearance, enhancing a commodity value, and preventing the lid from being removed even when the containers adjacent to each other are brought into contact with each other. SOLUTION: In the packaging container, a circumferential frame is arranged on the outer side of a container body, fitting erection parts are provided on two or more parts of the mouth edge of the container body, and the container body and the lid are fitted to each other on outer faces of the fitting erection parts. On a part without a fitting part of the mouth edge of the container body, a mouth edge riser part is provided on the circumferential frame side from the erection part of the fitting part. On the outer circumferential part of the lid, an outer circumferential bottom is formed which is abutted on the upper end face of the circumferential frame, the fitting erection parts of the container body, and the mouth edge riser part of the container body with the lid closed. In a part excluding the fitting part of the outer circumferential part of the lid, an inner bottom is formed which is located on the inner side of the mouth edge of the container body and lower than the top of the mouth edge with the lid closed.
