PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label attaching method and a label attaching apparatus for attaching a label neatly. SOLUTION: The label attaching apparatus 1 comprises a pair of door members 3 which are almost closed usually but are capable of opening to the right/left simultaneously, label arranging members 33 which arrange the labels 6 along one surface of each door member 3, and a guide groove 10 which guides a can 5 for label attachment from one surface side of the door members 3 where the label 6 is arranged to the middle of the door members 3. When the can 5 is guided along the guide groove 10 toward the door members 3 by using the label attaching apparatus 1, the label 6 is pressed to the side peripheral surface 5a of the can 5 by the door members 3 and is attached to the surface 5a of the can 5 gradually from the center toward the outside thereof.
