PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomass gas combustion gas engine device causing no engine stop with little fluctuation of engine output even with the occurrence of insufficiency of a heating value or the fluctuation of the heating value in using wood-based dry distillation gas. SOLUTION: The biomass gas combustion gas engine device has a means for supplying a gas engine with the wood-based dry distillation gas and hydrocarbon-based gas having a higher heating value than the wood-based dry distillation gas; a means for measuring the heating value of the wood-based dry distillation gas; and a hydrocarbon-based gas flow control device for controlling the supply quantity of the hydrocarbon-based gas according to the heating value of the wood-based dry distillation gas.
