PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dodger structure for a ship capable of reducing a wind resistance force effectively and suppressing the loss of propulsion energy when a dodger is not used during sailing, and enabling smooth surveillance operation when used at the time of approach to the pier. SOLUTION: A plurality of U-shaped bridge plate sections 2 in vertical section relative to the side face direction of a ship body are connected in a nesting form slidably in the ship body width direction, and a support 10 is provided in the lower part of each of the bridge plate sections 2. In the front end thereof, rotatable rollers 5 are provided, and the rollers 5 are guided and moved by the rails 6 arranged on a deck 81 regarding the ship body width direction as the longitudinal direction. The dodger 1 can be expanded and contracted in the ship body width direction by the slide of the bridge plate sections 2, and the dodger 1 is contracted during sailing, thereby reducing the wind resistance force.
