摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a thermal transfer recording apparatus which can be driven at a high speed by shortening printing time with an inexpensive configuration. SOLUTION: A sublimation type thermal transfer recording apparatus 1 has a first driving motor M1; a recording medium transferred by rotary driving of the first driving motor; and a thermal head 10 where a plurality of heating elements 11 are selectively energized on the basis of image data synchronously with a transfer speed of the recording medium, thereby printing an image on the recording medium. The sublimation type thermal transfer recording apparatus 1 is equipped with a rotational speed calculating part 130 for calculating a rotational speed of the first driving motor M1 for every printing line of the image data, and a motor control part 170 for changing controlling the rotational speed of the first driving motor M1 for every printing line on the basis of the rotational speed v1 calculated from the rotational speed control part 130.
