A real-time movement analysis device includes a central computer (18) and an image processing unit (16). Several cameras (10) are used and cover the space so that each position in the space is constantly covered by at least two cameras (10), in which each image processing unit (16) are in data exchange with at least one camera and all cameras are respectively in data exchange with at least one image processing unit (16). Each image processing unit (16) is in data exchange at least indirectly with the central computer (18), and the cameras produce video images of the space which are communicated to the image processing unit (16) where each object (14) of at least two cameras, records different angles of view. The image processing unit (16) extracts from the video images mathematically features, such as the center of gravity coordinates in the X-Y direction, and the extent of the objects (14) and the data of the objects (14) is extracted from the data of their environme nt and the results are then relayed to a central computer (18). An independent claim is included for a method for movement analysis of objects moving in a space. |
