<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize power consumption during an energy saving mode in consideration of recovery to a normal mode. <P>SOLUTION: A network control device comprises a controller part including a main CPU, a networked interface control part including a sub CPU, and a power circuit for powering the controller part and the interface control part; and can set a normal mode and an energy saving mode. In the normal mode, the interface control part directs the power circuit to power the main CPU, and the main CPU sets the sub CPU in a sleep state.
