PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and an image processor in which photography orientation can be known easily at the time of photographing an object. SOLUTION: The CPU 40 of a personal computer 2 rotates a thumbnail image 31 to the photography orienation attached to the tagged information 33 of image data taken in from a digital camera 13 and compounds it at the position on an electronic map corresponding to a positional coordinate. An electronic map 50 compounding the thumbnail image 31 is displayed on the monitor 10 of the personal computer 2.
