PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which enables bubbles to be surely removed from inside a channel of a recording head and which becomes advantageous in terms of cost. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer 1 is equipped with recording heads 5, 6, 7 and 8 which form an image on a recording medium 99 by ejecting ink from an ejection port 12, and a suction mechanism 40 which sucks in the ink from the ejection port in head cleaning. The inkjet printer is also equipped with a control part 61 which performs control for inhibiting the ejection of the ink for a predetermined period of time, after the ink is sucked in from the ejection port by the suction mechanism.
