PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a robust reluctance motor which has a high salient pole ratio, therefore, high motor efficiency, and further, a simple constitution; and can withstand against high-speed rotation in the reluctance motor. SOLUTION: A thin plate is made of a material having a ferromagnetic structure. A part in the thin plate desired to be nonmagnetic is heated to a temperature exceeding an austenite transforming temperature, and after that, cooled so as to be a thin plate comprising the same material in which the ferromagnetic part and the nonmagnetic part coexist.
