PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency characteristics of power line measurement equipment convenient to carry, with no limitation in measurement range. SOLUTION: The measurement equipment is divided into an oscillator unit 12 and a measurement unit 13, a coupling unit 14 for inputting the signal outputted by the oscillator unit 12 into the power lines is connected with the transmission terminal of the power lines, and a coupling unit 15 for extracting the signal from the power lines inputted by the measurement unit 13 is connected with the receiving terminal of the power lines. The oscillator unit 12 is equipped with a function to externally synchronize with the sweep timing signal outputted by the measurement unit 13 and outputs the prescribed sweep frequency measurement signal for measuring the frequency characteristics synchronized with the sweep timing signal, and the measurement unit 13 generates the sweep timing signal to be a reference, and also equipped with a means for measuring the level of the sweep frequency measurement signal received through the power lines using a mixer, at a prescribed frequency points for a prescribed measurement interval.
