PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vacuum pump from being fixed in an oxygen enriching device assembled into a main body of a hot-water storage type water heater and an oxygen supply device constituted by the vacuum pump. SOLUTION: This hot-water storage type water heater is provided with a tank 1 storing predetermined amount of heated water, a bath pipe passage 3 for supplying bathtub water by utilizing hot water stored in the tank 1, an oxygen enriching device 6 provided with air supply and exhaust ports 5a, 5b provided on exterior surface, an intake fan 5 for introducing and exhausting outside air through the air supply and exhaust ports 5a, 5b, and an oxygen-enriching membrane 4 for extracting oxygen selectively in a process in which it passes through introduced outside air, the vacuum pump 7 for sucking oxygen having high concentration and generated in the oxygen enriching device 6 and mixing it into the bath pipe passage 3, and a timer means 8 for measuring stop time of the vacuum pump 7. When stop time of the vacuum pump 7 measured by the timer means 8 exceeds predetermined time, the vacuum pump 7 is driven for a fixed period of time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
