PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground-installed membrane-type dike which can rapidly and simply close an opening, and which predominates in terms of mounting strength. SOLUTION: In this ground-installed membrane dike, a membrane structure 3, which is composed of a waterproof membrane 1 and a plurality of reinforcing fiber ropes 2, is spread according to need, so that the opening 11 of a tide embankment/breakwater 10 can be closed. Under the action of water pressure when the opening is closed by the membrane structure 3, the membrane structure 3 can be spread/supported in an arch shape by a spreading means which is composed of a ring-shaped locking part of the fiber rope 2, an opening edge-side hook 12 engaged with the locking part 5, waterproof membrane-side and opening-side fasteners 6A and 6B engaged with each other, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
