The pliers have a first and second handle (10, 12) and clamping jaws. The first clamping jaw (20) has a recess (22) on one side facing the second jaw (30) and has a first contact end face (222), a second contact end face (224) and a third contact end face (226). A first angle is set between the first and second contact face and a second angle is determined between the first and third contact faces. The second clamping jaw has a grip extension (32) which are adapted to the recess (22) in the first clamping jaw and fit selectively into same. The second clamping jaw has several teeth (322) which are formed on the grip extension and match the first contact end face of the recess.
