<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can easily cancel a print job. <P>SOLUTION: This printer, which is connected with a host computer for executing the print job, via a computer network, is equipped with a job specifying means for specifying the print job to be canceled, according to a user's instructions, a host information extracting means for extracting host information, which is used for specifying the host computer serving as the execution source of the print job identified by the job specifying means, from among print data on the print job, a cancellation processing means for sending out instructions on the cancellation of the print job to the host computer which is identified by the host information, and a printing interrupting means for interrupting the printing operation of the print job which is identified by the job specifying means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
