PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize conduction of a lamp pin connected to a socket. SOLUTION: A luminaire is provided with a lamp holding unit 7 with holders for housing sockets arranged at both ends of a cylinder 2 for housing a straight-tube fluorescent lamp 1; and the lamp 1 is connected to the sockets in the holders by mounting the lamp 1 from the lamp replacement side at one end of the lamp holding unit 7 toward the closing side at the other end thereof. The socket disposed in the holder on the lamp replacement side is of an insertion type to be connected by inserting a lamp pin; and the socket 4 disposed in the holder 6 on the closing side is of a rotary type to be connected by rotating the lamp pin after inserting it. Reliability of conduction is improved by thus changing the contact method of the lamp pin of the socket on the closing side from a conventional butt type to the rotary type.
