LUBRICANT COMPOSITION, SPEED REDUCER USING THE SAME AND ELECTRIC POWER STEERING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition capable of reducing noises of a reducer more than ever before irrespective of the magnitude of a backlash generated when a small gear and a large gear are engaged and without complicating the structure of the reducer, and to provide a low-noise reducer by using it and an electric power steering apparatus using it. SOLUTION: The lubricant composition is the one wherein the particles of a polyurethane resin, synthesized by reacting a long chain polyol having a number average mol. wt. of≥500, a crosslinking agent having three or more active hydrogen groups in one molecule and a polyisocyanate, are added into a lubricant as buffer particles. The reducer 50 is filled with the above lubricant particles. The electric power steering apparatus slows down the revolution of the electric motor M for steering assist through the above reducer 50.
