PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that management about vehicle allocation as taxis as a whole is not managed because a conventional AVM system for taxi allocation performs the moving management of a free taxis and cannot perform the position management or the tracing management of a travelling route when each cruising taxi having no direct relation with vehicle allocation by radio. SOLUTION: A vehicle allocation method in an AVM system is configured in the following way. In the AVM system having a base station and a plurality of mobile stations and having a system of collecting the information of the plurality of mobile stations by polling in the base station, the plurality of mobile stations each transmit the moving information including at least information about whether each taxi is empty or occupied and the position information for each predetermined time to the base station. The base station has a central processing apparatus having a storage unit, which records the moving information for each predetermined time of the mobile stations which has been transmitted to the base station in the storage medium. The central processing apparatus analyzes the moving information for each predetermined time of the plurality of mobile stations, and transmits the vehicle allocation information to the mobile stations on the basis of a result of the analysis.
