PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal easily operated capable of displaying an image of an extension telephone set on a display means in response to a kind of the extension telephone set to be controlled and to provide a communication system. SOLUTION: The communication terminal is connected to the communication system including a plurality of extension telephone sets and a private branch exchange includes: a storage means for storing image data of the plurality of kinds of extension telephone sets; and a control means for selecting one of image data among the image data stored in the storage means, extracting the selected image data from the storage means and displaying the image data on the display means, and the communication terminal displays to advantage an image of the extension telephone set in response to the kind of the extension telephone set to be controlled.
