PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time necessary for initialization process of a nonvolatile memory. SOLUTION: As the initialization process always conducted to a plurality of flash memories 1, 2 mounted on the nonvolatile memory after a power is input, a first step (t701-t702) for issuing a read command to the flash memory 1, a second step (t702-t703) for issuing the read command to the flash memory during a period when data cannot be read yet during reading process of the flash memory 1 after the first step, and a third step (t704-t705) for reading the data of the flash memory 1 after getting in a state that the data of the flash memory 1 becomes readable are executed. Thereby reading busy time (t703-t705) to the flash memory 2 can be shortened. Therefore, mobile equipment with short setup time can be achieved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
