PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit which easily captures image data. SOLUTION: In order to realize the display unit having a function of controlling a device and a function of outputting a control signal for the device and displaying a state corresponding to operation based on the control signal, a control part performs processing including the steps of: detecting the connection of a digital camera (S610); reading menu data from a memory (S620); and outputting the menu data to a monitor (S630).
