摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance inspection method for an electromagnetic solenoid capable of regulating an air gap without using a tough jig for measuring a thrust, and capable of enhancing working efficiency. SOLUTION: This performance inspection method for an electromagnetic solenoid having a core of the second ring shape using as the ring center its axis wound with an excitation coil in a groove of the first ring-shape using its axis as the ring center, and having an armature of the third ring shape using its axis as the ring center arranged to be opposed to the core is provided with the first step for forming the desired length of air gap by sandwiching the performance inspecting jig of the fourth ring shape using as the center a desired thickness of shaft, between the core and the armature, while bringing the core to an under side and while bringing the armature to an upper side, the second step for electrifying the excitation coil with a prescribed current, the third step for measuring a magnetic flux generated in the electromagnetic solenoid, the fourth step for calculating the thrust applied on the air gap by the magnetic flux, based on the magnetic flux, magnetic permeability of the air gap and a cross-sectional area of the air gap, and the fifth step for determining whether the electromagnetic solenoid has prescribe performance or not, based on the magnetic flux, the thrust and the length of the air gap.
