PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turnbuckle improving the aseismicity of a house, particularly a wooden house while depending upon a conventional procedure on the execution of works. SOLUTION: The turnbuckle 10 has a main body 12, a damping member 14 and a nut 16. In the turnbuckle 10, the main body 12 has a through-hole 12a formed in both ends through which a rod-shaped brace 1 is passed, and the nut 16 is inserted from the side of the main body 12 but is irrotational in the width (w) of the space section 12b of the main body 12. In the turnbuckle 10, the through-hole 14a through which the rod-shaped brace 1 is passed and formed towards a rear end from a front end in the damping member 14, and the shape of the damping member 14 is formed along the internal surface of the main body 12.
