PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recording quality deterioration by suppressing floating of a paper from a second rib at a platen constituted with a first rib and the second rib located at its downstream side. SOLUTION: The platen 65 which is set opposed to a recording head for carrying out recording to the paper P and regulates a gap between the paper P and the recording head by supporting the paper P has at a platen face 65c opposed to the recording head the first rib 65a extended in a sub scanning direction, and the second rib 65b set at the downstream side of the first rib 65a and extended in the sub scanning direction. A projection height from the platen face 65c of the first rib 65a is made higher than a projection height from the same of the second rib, whereby a fall of the paper P between the first rib 65a and the second rib 65b is prevented.
