PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for fishing equipped with a power transmission mechanism capable of completely removing backlash generated in a gear power-transmitting means by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The reel for fishing is constituted so as to parallel wind a fishline through a reciprocation mechanism 11 converting rotation motion of a handle shaft 5 rotatably installed on a reel body 1 and having a handle 6 on one side around a spool 3. In the reel for fishing, a rotator 10 rotated interlockingly with operation of the handle 6 enables transfer of rotation through an elastic friction member 12a to a conversion member 12 of the reciprocation mechanism 11.
