Integrated viral complexes, methods of producing them, and their use as a vaccine against is described. Integrated viral complexes are optionally dried and may be stored at refrigeration tememperatures. Integrated viral complexes include viable virions in intact cell membranes. The host cells are non-viable. The invention is advantageously employed in the context of Herpes virus including Marek's disease virus.
