The method involves forming a composite base structure (15) by pulling fibers (11) through at least an impregnation stage (12) and a curing stage (14). The base structure is equipped with at least one wear area (16.1, 16.2). A blade is detached from a blade blank (22) of the base structure and the wear area. The wear area protrudes to the outer side edge of the base structure and forms an edge structure portion.
