A model aircraft toy comprises a plurality of aeroplane bodies 110 with different outward appearances, an operation unit (120, fig 3) arranged to be incorporated with the bodies and a take off and landing control panel (130, fig 1) which raises and lowers and supports the operation unit. The aeroplane bodies comprise a front section 110A and a rear section 110B. The front section includes the main wing, and the rear section includes the tail assembly. The front and rear sections are detachably fitted to a front 140A and rear 140B section of an inner sleeve 140, which houses the operation unit. The inner sleeve may have a tapered outer diameter, which decreases towards both the front and rear sections, and may be moulded from a transparent synthetic resin. |
