An audio/video (A/V) component networking system 10 comprises a source component 16, a presentation device 14 and a sink component 12. The sink component is adapted to control presentation of A/V program data 32 received from the source component on the presentation device. The sink component is also adapted to transmit a command to the source component to control display of an A/V menu data stream on the presentation device.
