The tire has a profile positive (1) which has a number of cuts (2) of width between 0.4 and 0.8 mm. The profile positive also has micro-cuts (3) of the width which is less than that of the main cuts, and which extend to less depth than the profile depth. The width of the micro-cuts should be 0.15 20.4 mm, preferably not more than 0.3 mm.
