<p>Production of bakery products (4 - 6) of different shapes from a continuous strip of dough (2, 3) comprises cutting it into pieces (4a - 4c). These are then formed into products of different shapes (4c, 5a, 5b) which are transported in rows (7b -7i), each of which contains several products of each shape. Independent claims are included for: (A) a machine for carrying out the process with a dough strip forming unit (A), dough splitter (B) and separator (C), a cutting or stamping unit (D) for shaping the products and a transfer unit which removes a complete row of products at the end of a conveyor; and (B) a retarding system for use with the machine comprising a net which hangs down on the conveyor and removes unwanted dough sections (6b).</p> |
