Construction unit for a compact heating system comprises a pump housing (2) made at least partly in one piece with a valve housing (4). The valve housing is connected to the outer side of the pump housing so that the valve housing intersects the pump housing. In the intersecting region the interior of the valve housing and the interior of the pump housing are interconnected and form a flow path. Preferred Features: The flow path connects the interior of the valve housing to the intake side of a circulation pump (6).
