The cargo deck for the cargo hold of an aircraft has several mounting profiles (10) which are fitted in the longitudinal direction of the aircraft and in which are mounted functional elements such as rollers (31-35), ball elements (53), locks (40,52), PDUs (51) and floor elements. The mounting profiles when viewed over the width of the cargo hold have identical spacings with identical components (20,21) fitting accurately between them. An odd number of mounting profiles is provided, especially 5, 7, or 9, but preferably 7.
