The device comprises a case made from rigid, bendable material and having a mantle extending between top and bottom openings. The mantle surface is divided into at least two regions. A base covers the bottom opening in order to seal it and this base combines with the case to define a storage space for the fuel. The base is provided with a seal extending around its periphery and the periphery of the bottom end of the case. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Method for making the storage device; (2) Use of packaging for making storage devices; and (3) System for burning solid fuel.
