FIELD: oil production equipment; sealing rods of well pumping units with drive unit located on ground surface. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes stuffing-box seal and casing where cylinder is mounted forming circular cavity which communicates string with branch. To decrease height of location of hydraulic drive of well pumping unit, diametric sizes of cylinder cavity exceed diametric sizes of coupling connecting the rod of drive with rod of pumping unit. Stuffing-box seal is located in cylinder. ^ EFFECT: ease in mounting and operation of hydraulic drive; reduced wind loads. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg
