The appliance has a cooking tub (1), and a coupling unit to couple the tub and an emptying receptacle (2) to form a single unit. The tub has an emptying unit (6) transferring liquid materials from the tub to the receptacle. The tub, receptacle and the coupling unit are functionally coupled to each other, such that preset variation of relative positioning of two of the units (1, 2) and coupling unit activates the unit (6). An independent claim is also included for a process for emptying a food cooking appliance.
