PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording tape cartridge at a low cost in which a braking member can smoothly move up and down. SOLUTION: The clutch body 86 of a clutch member 84 moves in the pore part 54A of a reel plate 54 in the pore axis direction (the direction of a reel 28 axis line). A rounded part 55 is formed at the inner edge corner part of the pore part 54A of the reel plate 54, and the inner edge part is corner-rounded, and consequently the clutch body 86 is not caught by the fringe part of the pore part 54A of the reel plate 54 even if the clutch member 84 tilts. In the clutch body 86 of the clutch member 84, the corner part of an operation press surface 86C is chamfered to provide a slope 87. When the clutch body 86 moves in the direction of the pore axis of the pore part 54A of the reel plate 54, the operation press surface 86C is not caught with the fringe part of the pore part 54A even if the clutch member 84 tilts.
