PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring tape capable of reducing reflection of light hitting on a coating, and reducing a sound generated when winding the tape, by solving the problems wherein a scale sometimes becomes difficult to be viewed by light reflection concerning a coated tape member or the sound generated when winding the tape is somewhat larger compared with an uncoated tape. SOLUTION: The coating on the surface and the back of the tape member a where the scale 1a is printed is formed so that many projections 2a are formed on the surface of the coating 2 formed on the surface side of the tape member 1, and that the surface of the coating 3 formed on the back side of the tape member 1 becomes approximately flat. Hereby, the sound generated when winding the tape can be reduced, and the reflection of light hitting on the coating can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
