PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture-proof tatami mat structure capable of more improving the moisture-proof capacity of the tatami mat. SOLUTION: Moisture-proof cushioning materials 5, 5 are fitted to under face sides of the respective boundaries of adjoining tatami mats 1, 1 so that both cushioning materials 5, 5 collapse in the vertical direction, deform, and overhang sideways to become in a pressed state to form a moistureproof condition. Further, the under face side of these adjoining tatami mats 1, 1 is covered with moistureproof sheets 6, 6. The moisture-proof sheet 6 covers the seams 7 of the tatami mat facing 3 from below. The moisture-proof sheet 6 and the waterproofing cushioning material 5 may be superimposed with each other to form a continuous moistureproof state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
