PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Cr-containing alloy whose workability is improved by suppressing strain aging in the weld zone. SOLUTION: The Cr-containing alloy having excellent strain aging resistance in the weld zone has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.0020 to 0.0120% C, 0.0030 to 0.0120% N, 0.0050 to 0.0200% C+N, 0.05 to 1.0% Si, 0.10 to 1.0% Mn,≤0.04% P,≤0.005% S, >9 to <12% Cr,≤0.5% Ni, 0.02 to 0.2% Mo, 0.005 to 0.05% Al, 0.0001 to 0.0010% B, 0.20 to 0.40% Ti and≤0.0030% O, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities äexclusive of the region satisfying ([%Ti]-5×[%O]×[%N]/[%Cr]≤0.000120)}, and satisfying numerical formulae (1) and (2); wherein, the [%X] denotes the mass% of the component X in the steel.
