PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heterogeneously epoxidating an ethylene propylene diene terpolymer. SOLUTION: The method for producing the epoxidated ethylene propylene diene terpolymer comprises dispersing or suspending the solid ethylene propylene diene terpolymer in an organic solvent to carry out the epoxidation using an organic acid ester solution of an anhydrous organic percarboxylic acid as an epoxidating agent.
