PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate coated with an insulating material excellent in peeling resistance, heat resistance and durability, and furthermore, excellent in processability. SOLUTION: The substrate coated with the insulating material with excellent peeling resistance is characterized by that a coating layer composed of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, Cr<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, SiO<SB>2</SB>or their composite exists at least one surface of the substrate with excellent heat resistance, and at least one element constituting the substrate and at least one element of Al, Si or Cr form an alloy phase between the substrate and the coating layer.
