PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable absorbent article designed to effectively utilize absorbing ability of a collected fiber layer provided around a standing end part of a standing flap so as to infallibly prevent leakage. SOLUTION: The disposable absorbent article 10 is equipped with an absorbent mat 13 provided between a surface sheet 11 with liquid permeability and a rear surface sheet 12 with liquid impermeability. The absorbent mat 13 has a sheet-shaped water absorbing layer 15 with a water absorbing resin powder 14 and without any pulp fibers, and a collected fiber layer 17A and 17B containing pulp fiber 16 as a main component, in order from the side of the surface sheet 11. The sheet-shaped water absorbing layer 15 has a water absorbing resin powder existing area 15a involving the water absorbing resin powder 14 therein and a non water absorbing resin powder existing area 15b without involving the water absorbing resin powder 14 therein. Standing flaps 18 are provided on both sides of the sheet-shaped water absorbing layer 15, and a standing end part 18a of the standing flap 18 is respectively bonded to a part of the surface sheet 11 corresponding to the non water absorbing resin powder existing areas 15b-1 and 15b-2 of the sheet-shaped water absorbing layer 15.
